And so it begins.

School has STARTED. Thomas went to an accounting orientation today but no classes! We already knew it was going to be a pretty grueling program but they said definitely do not work more than 10 hours a week if at all. Too bad he's working 20 a week now...we'll see how it goes, I guess. I'm looking forward to this school year since Thomas is FINALLY in the program and this means we're closer to being done!...but I'm not looking forward to it because I know I have, as of this day, lost my husband to numbers. Goodbye for a school year, husband!

Work Party!

Tonight, we went to my work party! It was so much fun! It was at Jordanelle Reservoir...we had steak for dinner (yum) and they rented four jet skis. It was my first time on a jet ski and it was so much fun! Tom and I both took the jet skis out several times (together and with kids). It was fun to get to see everyone outside of work even though I mostly just did what I do AT work...played with the Savage's :] Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of me and Tom, but here is one of me, Rachel (7) and Rachel's cousin, Grace.

Color Me Mine!

I LOVE Color Me Mine. If you haven't been there before, you should definitely go...for date night or for family night! Go to colormemine.com for deals (such as mommy and me days and date nights where there are discounts on studio fees). Okay so if you haven't been there before, this is how it works. You go to the studio, pay a studio fee (to cover the paints and stickers and whatever you use) then you buy a piece of pottery from them. They have so many things!--figurines, dishes (super nice ones too!), broken pieces you can use for magnets or whatever, jewelry boxes...really anything. So then you get to paint your piece however you want. And they have so, so, so many tools you can use to paint cool things (stickers, books with ideas, designing tools, etc) It is so fun to paint your own piece of pottery! When you're done painting, they take your piece and fire it in the kiln and then you get to pick it up in a few days and WAH-LAH! Your own marvelous piece of artwork! I've been twice with the Savage's now and they just LOVE doing this. And I love it too! It is so fun to have your own unique pieces. I just got the pieces I did a few days ago and they turned out so cute...I love them! I bought broken pieces and painted them all different colors and did all the letters in "wallace" and then one that says thomas and one that says marci. And then I glued magnets on the backs and I just LOVE them. Here they are:

And then here is the piece I did the time before (it's a super cute bowl and we use it to put our keys and stuff)

SO if you live in the Provo area, there's a Color Me Mine in the Riverwoods in Provo and for those of you back home in Sacramento, there's one in Folsom and also one in Elk Grove. Go check it out!--you'll love it!

I've finally set up a website for my hairbows!--well, an etsy site. Go to marciwallace.etsy.com (or click on the title to this blog entry) to check it out! And PLEASE tell everyone! There are only about five bows up right now but tomorrow afternoon/night, I plan to add about 20 more...or more! So check back regularly for new bows!

THANKS.

Cake and a Hairdo

So Kelli and I attempted to make a cake that I found the recipe for on my sister-in-law, Alyson's, recipe blog (check it out: wozniakgoodeats.blogspot.com...tons of good recipes!) We, unfortunately, failed. It was supposed to be lots of layers but our cake kept falling apart so we just dumped all the fillings all over the cake and made it only two layers. It was still yummy so that's all that matters, right!?

After our failed cake attempt, I really wanted to try a hairstyle on Kelli that I saw on a doll. It looked so cool!...so not CUTE but it was really amazing-looking!

Thanks for letting me play with your hair, Kel!

Farmer's Market

So this whole season I've been doing the Provo Farmer's Market (every Saturday from 9am-2pm for those of you who live nearby!) and I finally got around to taking pictures of my booth!
